Dear Atkins, i was pleasantly surprised, initially, when i found out that one could buy a bread mix which was suitable for all phases. however, when i went to buy this bread mix, i was pretty shocked to discover that one loaf of bread would cost me £9 to buy online!!!! it cost approx £ 4.30 to buy the bread mix, but every single website i tried to buy it on, cost £5 to deliver it from an on-line source. it was only 400gms in weight. does anyone have any experience of a cheaper source. no matter how down i feel regarding my weight, i refuse to pay £9 for 1 loaf!
The livlife bread is good, I usually get mine from waitrose so not sure if they sell it in other stores.
It's £1.99 a loaf, just be aware you should really have it everyday so best to put it in the freezer.
I only have about 2 slices a week.
I'm the same as you Laura, I did have a look and will under no circumstances pay this ... daylight robbery!
I don't think any of them are worth it! I was a confirmed bread lover and two slices just wouldn't do it! Now I don't miss it at all, and if I want a sandwich I make a MIM and fill it with bacon lettuce and tomato. It takes two hands to hold it, is dead cheap and a fraction of the carbs. Now that's what I call A SANDWICH!!!
Why not make your own and freeze some. Check out the Tortilla Recipe in the recipe section. They are really! good plus you'll know what's in them and they work out a lot cheaper too.
