Often this recipe contains rice but there's no need, they taste great with the cheese & beef!

  • 2 large peppers, colour of your choice
  • 300g minced beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp mixed herbs (or herbs of your choice, such as basil, coriander)
  • 1/2 tin chopped tomatoes
  • salt & pepper
  • dash of Worcestershire sauce
  • 100g grated cheese


Cut the tops of peppers (choose the colour of pepper you prefer), discard the seeds. In a frying pan, add the minced meat, onion and herbs and cook until meat is browned. Season well. Add chopped tomatoes, worcestershire sauce. Stir in the cheese then stuff peppers with the mixture and place in a baking dish. Bake at 180C for 30 minutes. Take out & sprinkle with a bit more cheese then bake for 5 minutes more until it's melted
