Enjoy a deliciously spiced curry without the carb crash. This simple recipe shows you how to make a tasty low-carb rogan josh – serve with our tasty cauliflower rice for the perfect Indian-inspired dish.

150g of chicken breast

60ml of chicken stock

¼ of an onion (finely chopped)

100g of tinned tomatoes

½ tbsp of tomato puree

1 tbsp of coriander

1 tsp of ground ginger

1 tsp of ground turmeric

2 tsp of curry powder

1 tsp of chilli powder

1 tsp of fennel seeds

1 tbsp of fresh coriander

1 tbsp of garam masala

Olive oil



  1. In a small bowl, blend the spices and a small amount of water in order to form a paste.
  2. Heat oil in a medium frying pan and throw in the onions. Cook until soft and golden brown.
  3. Add the spice paste to the pan and stir. Cook for one minute.
  4. Slice the chicken roughly into 2cm chunks and add to the pan. Stir until coated in onions and spice paste.
  5. Add chopped tomatoes and tomato puree and stir to combine with the chicken.
  6. Add the chicken stock and stir.
  7. Turn to a low-medium heat and simmer until the chicken is cooked through. Serve with cauliflower rice.
